2024-25 Elementary Teacher of the Year – Stephanie Roadcap
- Ms. Roadcap is in her 7th year of teaching at Redwater ISD.
- Ms. Roadcap serves as a 5th Grade Science Teacher at RIS.
- Ms. Roadcap holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at Tyler and an Associate of Arts in Business from Tyler Junior College.
In her classroom, Ms. Roadcap creates an environment where students are empowered to take ownership of their learning through voice, choice, and active participation. Her goal as a teacher is to create a classroom where students are engaged, challenged, supported, and where learning is both meaningful and fun.
2024-25 Secondary Teacher of the Year – Jessica Ragland
- Ms. Ragland is in her 2nd year of teaching at Redwater ISD.
- Ms. Ragland serves as a 9-12 Grade Agricultural Science Instructor and FFA Advisor at RHS.
- Ms. Ragland holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Services and Development from Tarleton State University and is currently pursuing her Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.
In her classroom, Ms. Ragland teaches students about the importance of hard work, dedication, leadership, and community. She believes her role as a teacher is to inspire students to believe they belong in every room they walk into – whether it’s a boardroom, a barn, or a college classroom.
